Job Description
The purpose of this role is to prepare test cases and perform testing of the product/platform/solution to be deployed at a client end, ensuring it meets 100% quality assurance parameters.
Key Responsibilities:
- Test Requirements and Test Case Design:
- Understand test requirements and design appropriate test cases for the product.
- Author test planning documents with a focus on business requirements and corresponding testable requirements.
- Testing Methodology:
- Implement Wipro’s testing approach using Model-Based Testing to efficiently generate test cases.
- Ensure that test cases undergo peer review, minimizing rework.
- Collaboration with Development Team:
- Collaborate with the development team to identify and capture test cases.
- Ensure version control is maintained.
- Set testing criteria, parameters, and scope/out-scope, and participate in User Acceptance Testing (UAT).
- Automation:
- Automate the test life cycle process at appropriate stages, using tools like VB Macros, scheduling, and GUI automation.
- Design and execute automation frameworks and reporting mechanisms.
- Software Validation:
- Develop and automate tests for software validation.
- Set up test environments, design test plans, and execute test cases/scenarios/usage cases.
- Defect Management:
- Ensure test defects are raised according to project/program/account norms, with clear descriptions and replication patterns.
- Detect bug issues and prepare detailed defect reports.
- Report test progress and track issues effectively.
- Quality Assurance:
- Ensure no instances of rejection/slippage of delivered work items, ensuring they meet Wipro/Customer SLAs and norms.
- Design and timely release of test status dashboards at the end of each test execution cycle, sharing with stakeholders.
- Usability and Serviceability Feedback:
- Provide feedback on usability and serviceability, trace results to quality risks, and report findings to stakeholders.
- Status Reporting and Customer Focus:
- Provide continuous status reporting and customer focus with respect to testing and its execution.
- Ensure high-quality interactions with customers, including emails, fault report tracking, voice calls, and business etiquette.
- Timely Deliverables:
- Ensure on-time deliveries, including WSRs, test execution reports, and relevant dashboard updates in the Test Management Repository.
- Accurately update efforts in eCube, TMS, and other project-related trackers.
- Respond to customer requests promptly, with no complaints either internally or externally.
