Job Description
Responsible for ensuring the completion of tasks as per client guidelines. The role involves handling mortgage-related processes, particularly in servicing and default servicing (loss mitigation).
Key Responsibilities
- Review loan foreclosure documents and verify status of Mortgage Identification Number (MIN) in compliance with applicable programs and guidelines.
- Generate and deliver timely reports and observations.
- Coordinate with internal groups to resolve discrepancies or provide updates on loan status.
- Follow up on pending conditions or documentation.
- Accurately update findings in the system or prescribed format.
- Raise flags or escalate any potential issues as needed.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
- Mortgage Industry Knowledge: Understanding of US Mortgage Industry, including servicing, default servicing, and loss mitigation.
- Document Familiarity: Knowledge of various mortgage types and relevant documents (Income, Tax, Purchase, Sales).
- Communication: Strong written and verbal communication skills for documentation and stakeholder communication.
- Customer Service: Excellent customer service skills, detail-oriented, with sound analytical and decision-making abilities.
- Technical Skills: Proficiency in MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint; basic financial transaction understanding.
- Typing & Etiquette: Typing speed of 10–20 WPM; professional phone and email etiquette.
- Multitasking: Capable of handling multiple tasks and following instructions accurately.
- Teamwork: Must work well in a team environment.
