Job Description:
As a Software Development Engineer (SDE) at NetApp’s India R&D division, you will play a pivotal role in the development, validation, implementation, and operations of software across Data Engineering platforms for both cloud and on-premises environments. You will be part of NetApp Active IQ, a highly skilled technical team focused on building and improving Remote Support Data Engineering solutions. Your primary responsibility will be developing microservices within the RSA Data Platform to enhance its capabilities in remote support data engineering.
Key Responsibilities:
- Backend Development and Data Processing: Utilize technologies like Node.js and Python to build backend systems and data processing layers for various applications.
- RSA Data Processing Platform: Design and implement data solutions based on open-source technologies to create a fault-tolerant and scalable platform for processing and handling data in remote support scenarios.
- Cross-Team Collaboration: Collaborate with engineering teams across multiple geographies within Active IQ to share expertise and contribute to the overall tech community.
- Cloud and On-Prem Deployment: Deploy, monitor, and manage products and services across both cloud and on-premises platforms.
- Data Technologies: Work with a variety of data storage solutions, including NoSQL, SQL, and In-Memory databases, ensuring the best possible architecture for data processing needs.
- Monitoring & SLA Management: Implement robust monitoring processes to ensure that data applications consistently meet SLAs and performance benchmarks.
- Continuous Improvement: Stay ahead of technology trends, drive innovation, and implement best practices within the team and across the organization.
- Problem-Solving and Decision-Making: Demonstrate strong analytical and problem-solving skills while making data-driven decisions and working on complex challenges.

Desired Skills and Qualifications:
- Programming Expertise: Proficient in Node.js and Python for backend development, with experience in building data processing layers and scalable solutions.
- Tech Stack Experience: Knowledge of technologies such as NoSQL (MongoDB), SQL, Kafka, and In-Memory databases for data management and streaming solutions.
- Monitoring & Troubleshooting: Ability to develop best-in-class monitoring processes and ensure application stability, reliability, and performance.
- Agile & CI/CD: Familiarity with Agile methodologies, as well as Continuous Integration and Continuous Delivery pipelines.
- Cloud and On-Prem Experience: Hands-on experience deploying, monitoring, and managing products across cloud environments and on-premises infrastructure.
- Containers & Linux Knowledge: Working knowledge of Linux environments, with familiarity in containerization technologies like Docker and Kubernetes being a plus.
- Strong CS Fundamentals: A solid foundation in Computer Science fundamentals, algorithms, and database concepts.

Education and Experience:
