Job Description
Virtusa is looking for a motivated Java Developer Fresher to join our dynamic team. In this role, you will work with experienced professionals to develop efficient, scalable software solutions using Java, while enhancing your skills in software development and problem-solving.
Key Responsibilities:
- Write clean, maintainable, and efficient Java code.
- Assist in the development and testing of applications.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to solve technical challenges and deliver high-quality software.
- Learn and apply new technologies, tools, and frameworks related to Java development.
- Participate in code reviews and maintain coding standards.
- Contribute to the enhancement of existing applications and systems.
Skills & Qualifications:
- Strong understanding of core Java concepts.
- Basic knowledge of databases and version control tools (Git or similar) is a plus.
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to work in a collaborative team environment.
- Strong problem-solving skills and a willingness to learn new technologies.
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree (or equivalent) in Engineering, Technology, or Computer Applications (e.g., Computer Science, Information Technology, Electronics and Communication Engineering, Electrical and Electronics Engineering, etc.).

Eligibility Criteria:
- Candidates must hold United States, United Kingdom, or Canada citizenship, passport, or permanent residence.
- Candidates should be willing to relocate to the United Kingdom, United States, or Canada after completing the training.
- Candidates must have above 60% throughout their academic studies with no backlogs.
Internship Opportunity:
- Shortlisted candidates will be offered an internship during their final semester, providing hands-on experience in real-world projects.
Service Agreement:
- Upon joining Virtusa, candidates will be required to sign a two-year service agreement. However, this will be reduced to one year if the candidate pursues higher studies.
