The State Bank of India (SBI) has announced the recruitment for Probationary Officers (PO) for the year 2025. SBI PO 2025 Recruitment – Details:

Educational Qualification:

• Graduation in any discipline from a recognized university or any equivalent qualification recognized by the Central Government.
• Candidates in their final year/semester of graduation can also apply provisionally, provided they submit proof of passing the graduation exam by 30.04.2025.
• Candidates with Integrated Dual Degree (IDD) certificates must have passed the IDD before 30.04.2025.
• Candidates with qualifications such as Medical, Engineering, Chartered Accountant, Cost Accountant, etc., are also eligible.

Age Limit (As on 01 April 2024):

• Minimum age: 21 years
• Maximum age: 30 years
• Candidates must have been born between 02.04.1994 and 01.04.2003 (both days inclusive).

Age Relaxation:

• 5 years for SC/ST candidates
• 3 years for OBC (NCL) candidates
• 10 years for PWD candidates (13 years for OBC, 15 years for SC/ST)
• 5 years for Ex-Servicemen/Commissioned Officers with 5 years of service.

Salary & Benefits:

• Starting Basic Pay: Rs. 48,480 (Plus 4 advance increments)
• Salary Range: Rs. 48,480 – Rs. 85,920 (Junior Management Grade Scale-I)
• In addition, benefits include DA, HRA, CCA, PF, NPS, medical facilities, Lease Rental, and other allowances as per the rules.

Selection Process:

The selection will be done in three phases:

Phase I: Preliminary Examination:

• Objective Test for 100 marks.
• Duration: 1 hour
• Sections include English Language, Quantitative Aptitude, and Reasoning Ability.

Phase II: Main Examination:

• Objective Test (200 marks) and Descriptive Test (50 marks).
• Duration: 3 hours
• Sections include Reasoning & Computer Aptitude, Data Analysis & Interpretation, General Awareness, and English Language.
• Descriptive Test will require candidates to type answers (Emails, Reports, Precis Writing).

Phase III: Psychometric Test, Group Exercise, & Interview:

• Psychometric Test will assess personality profiling.
• Group Exercise and Personal Interview will follow for shortlisted candidates.

Penalty for Wrong Answers:

• For each wrong answer, 1/4th of the marks assigned will be deducted.
• No penalty for questions left unanswered.

Final Selection:

• Candidates must qualify in both Phase II (Main Exam) and Phase III (Group Exercise & Interview).
• The final merit list will be based on the combined marks of Main Examination and Phase III (Interview & Group Exercise).
• Preliminary Exam marks will not be added to the final merit list.
