The Indian Space Research Organisation (ISRO) has issued a notification for ISRO Scientist and Engineer Recruitment 2022 in order to hire Fresher Engineers as Scientist and Engineer (SC). Salary / Pay Scale for ISRO Scientist / Engineer
Candidates selected as ISRO Scientist / Engineer will be placed in the 7th Pay Matrix Level 10 (₹ 56,100/- to ₹ 1,77,500/-) [Old Pay Band ₹ 15600-39100/- and Grade Pay ₹ 5400/-].
In addition, Dearness Allowance [DA], House Rent Allowance [HRA], and Transport Allowance are payable according to existing laws. The New Pension Scheme will apply to the employees. In addition, medical facilities for the employee and his or her dependents, subsidised canteen, limited quarters facility (in lieu of HRA), Leave Travel Concession, Group Insurance, House Building Advance, etc., are eligible under Central Government rules.

Selection Process for Scientist / Engineer in ISRO
Selection process for ISRO Scientist / Engineer Recruitment is mentioned below –
- The qualification prescribed for ISRO Scientist / Engineer Recruitment is the MINIMUM requirement and the same does not automatically make candidates eligible for Interview.
- Shortlisting of the candidates for Interview in the ratio of 1:7 shall be based on the GATE Scores awarded and not on GATE marks or GATE Rank.
- The candidates will be assessed based on the following attributes, viz. Technical (Academic) knowledge [40 marks], General Awareness in relevance to the area of Specialisation (technical) [20 marks]; Presentation/Communication Skill [20 marks]; Comprehension [10 marks] and Academic achievements [10 marks], totaling to 100 marks.
- Candidates will have to score minimum 60 marks in the Interview and PWBD candidates will have to score minimum 50 marks in the Interview.
- For generation of the final panel, 50% weightage will be given to GATE Scores and 50% weightage to Interview marks.

The Application Fee is waived for all Women/ Scheduled Castes (SC)/ Scheduled Tribes (ST); Ex-servicemen (EX); and Persons with Benchmark Disabilities (PwBD).
